The Christian and life insurance.

The only deal that life insurance companies give you is that you get your money after you die. But that's wrong, because their assumption is that there's only one way to leave this earth. There is, in fact, another way in which a person can leave this earth. It's called 'Sudden Disappearance'! A person could leave this earth, not by dying, but by suddenly disappearing.

What am I talking about? I am talking about the RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH.

On that day, Christians will suddenly vanish away and leave this earth. In such a case, we, as Christians would fail to get the benefit of life insurance because the condition necessary for redeeming the benefits, that of death will not be met. That's exactly the reason why when a Christian enrolls themselves for a life insurance policy they should try by all means to get a contract that also includes coverage in the event of sudden disappearance.

One thing to bear in mind also is that getting life insurance is not for our benefit, it is for the benefit our families who will be left behind when we leave.

We have been made free

The story is told of an experiment in which a butterfly was caught and caged in a transparent jar. A few seconds after being put in the glass jar the butterfly tried to fly out but hit the glass wall of the jar. This went on for about a few hours. The butterfly kept trying to fly out and always hit the glass wall. Day one passed, day two passed, day three passed, and still the butterfly kept hitting the transparent glass wall of the jar each time it kept trying to escape. By this time frustration was creeping in. The butterfly was now getting tired of trying to escape and the number of tries per hour decreased significantly.

After about a week, the butterfly stopped trying to escape. It just lay there on the bottom of the glass jar. I guess in its mind, the situation was so hopeless and it had given up hope. It was at this time that the scientist removed the covering of the jar. To his amazement the butterfly did not move. It didn’t even escape. It lay there. It didn’t even try to fly again to escape.

That is the sad situation with many people today. They have been suffering for too long, they have been in trouble for too long, they have been sick for too long that they have lost hope. People have been in bondage for too long that when freedom came they didn’t even realize it came.

The bible says “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1)
The bible also says Jesus Christ paralyzed him (satan) that had the power of death (Hebrews 2:14).

Jesus has made us free. The bible says that “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36)

That means that freedom is our birthright.
We are free from death, free from sickness, free from suffering, free from poverty, free from all kinds of troubles that may come in life.  Jesus came so that we might be free from the devil and his cohorts. That’s why Jesus came. That’s why He died for us. That’s why he sacrificed His life so that we can be made free from all that troubles people.

The bible says that “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8)

Are you going to be like the butterfly which didn’t realize that freedom had come and stayed in the same place even after it was freed? You may have suffered for too long. Yes, you may have reached the point of hopelessness. But this Jesus that I preach, He can make you free.

Christ in you, the hope of glory

It is the experience of some people, Christians included, to have a life that is full of misery.
These people's lives are full of frustrations, full of turmoil, and stress.
Some people have been sick for a long time to the extent that they have lost hope. Medicine has failed them. The doctors have failed.
They have spent much money on medicine which has not helped. They have tried many avenues to no avail.

Some others are just frustrated with life in general. Things are not going they way they should go.
They are frustrated with their job, their business, and their life.
For these people it seems as though things will never change for the better.

There are yet others whose lives are full of fear.
Such people are haunted by the fear of death, the fear of failure, the fear of the future, and the fear of the unknown.
Some are even afraid to sleep in the night because they experience terrible things at night.
Such are those who are tormented by spirits in the night time.
For these people fear rules their lives.

But what if I told you that life doesn't have to be that way?
What if I told you that life could be full of peace, joy, and happiness?
What if I told you that you don't have to be sick anymore?
You don't have to be downtrodden, you don't have to be miserable, and you don't have to be frustrated.
What if I told you that the thing you think is too big to be removed from your life is not big?
What if I told you that there is hope for you.

The bible tells us in Colossians chapter 1, verses 26 and 27
"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of
the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

Did you see that?
The bible tells us in this scripture that there was a mystery hidden from the world for ages and for generations.
It also tells us that this mystery has been revealed to the saints (the church, the Christians).
He also tells us that this mystery is CHRIST IN YOU, the HOPE OF GLORY.
Boy oh boy!!
If you could receive Christ into you. If you could receive Christ into your heart.
Christ in you is the hope of glory.
I'll say it again. Christ in you is your hope of glory.
Christ in you is the hope of your healing. He is the hope of your peace, the hope of your joy, the hope of your life.
Christ in you is the hope of you living the glorious life.

Is there anybody who is sick?
The bible tells us
"...But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (give life to, heal, restore, revitalize) your mortal bodies..." - Romans 8:11

When you receive Christ into you, when you are born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, your life of misery will come to end.
The Holy Ghost can make your life beautiful.

Jesus Christ can change your life. Jesus Christ can make your life very beautiful. Jesus Christ can heal you.

It is simple, you can say this to yourself right away:
"I confess Jesus Christ as Lord over my life. I believe that He can make my life beautiful.
I receive now by faith the Holy Spirit who makes my life beautiful.
In the name of Jesus I declare that my life is going upwards and forwards only."

As simple as it may sound, this is a powerful confession and this will surely work if you believe it and do it.
Jesus said

"If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" - Mark 9:23

God bless you

The Gospel Of Life

We clearly know from the bible that the main reason that Jesus came into this world was so that He could give us Life. The bible is very clear on this issue. Jesus actually said so himself.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly” – John 10:10.

But what kind of life is this?
What is so special about this kind of life? Why do we make fuss about this life?
We all know there is plant life, there is animal life, and that there is human life. We all know one thing that is common to all the forms of life listed here. All of them are subject to death. After a while a plant dies, an animal dies, and a human being dies.
But there is another kind of life!! It’s called the God-kind-of-life. This life is ETERNAL. This life is unbeatable!! This life is unconquerable. This life is not subject to death, or sickness, or poverty, or failure.
This is the kind of life that Jesus brought to us.

And lest I confuse you I should clarify what death means here.

When we talk of death we are not merely referring to the physical death or the cessation of physical life. Understand that there is SPIRITUAL DEATH and PHYSICAL DEATH.
Physical death is a result of spiritual death. Physical death is a consequence of spiritual death. Let us explain this in detail.
All men are born spiritually dead, that is, separated from God. This is the REAL DEATH. Death is firstly a separation from God. It means to be cut-off from God, to be isolated from God. This is the real death.
It is this death that brings about physical death. Because Men are born born spiritually dead men die physically, and it is for this reason that men get sick. Physical death is a consequence of spiritual death. If we couldn't die spiritually we couldn't die physically.

Who remembers the story of Adam and Eve?
Before they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they could not die. They couldn’t get sick. They could not be poor. But God said to them,
“..in the day that thou eatest of it thereof thou shalt surely die…” – (Genesis 2:17 KJV)

But notice something here.
In the very day that Adam ate of the fruit he didn’t drop down dead.
But God said in that day you shall die. So how come Adam didn’t fall dead to the ground, and yet God told him that in the day that you shall eat of the fruit you shall die?
The truth is, Adam died the day he ate of the fruit.
He died spiritually that day – he was separated from God.
And because he was separated from God his body began to die physically, slowly until he died physically. Disease could now affect the human body. Sickness could now kill the man, because incipient death (the death of the spirit) was at work in him.
But Jesus came with life.
He came to reconcile us back to God so that death should no longer work in our bodies.
We already saw what Jesus said about himself in the quoted scripture

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly” – John 10:10.

The reason why we are so confident of this life, that it has been made available to us, is because of what the bible tells us. The apostle John boldly declares
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" - 1 John 5:11,12.

I love the way this verse is written in the Amplified bible version. It says
"And this is the testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. he who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life."

I suppose then, that the next question you may ask is: How do I get that life?
We already read in the verse above that whoever has the Son of God has this life. So how do you get to possess the Son of God? How do you get to have the Son of God?
Its's simple...
All you need to do is:
1) Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour
2) Believe with your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead.

In fact, you can get this life right away by simply praying this prayer right where you are.

Oh Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus.
I confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life.
I believe that you raised Jesus from the dead.
I therefore now have eternal life, and I'm now a new creation.
Amen

If you have prayed this prayer, contact me on email jamesritala@gmail.com and I will gladly tell you more about this new life that you have received, and on what you need to do in order to maintain and keep this life.

Science versus Divine Truth

Suppose you are on a bus that is moving at 100km/hr, and you are seated at the back. If you start to walk from the back to the front, to you it's as if the bus is stationery & you are the one doing the moving.

But to an external observer, you are actually moving faster than the bus because to them you are moving at almost 105km/hr.
In fact, it's like you are overtaking the bus.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Albert Einstein's Theory Of Relativity...

Now here's an interesting one that got me thinking really hard.
Suppose you wish to travel from one point A to point B which is 10km away.
If you walk at the speed of 10km/hr, it will take you 1 hour to travel.
If you ride a bicycle traveling at 20km/hr it will take you 30min.
If you cycle much faster, at 100km/hr it will take you ten times less the time and yu would be there in
6mins.
Can you see the pattern here?
The faster you move the LESS time you take to travel between the two points. The more faster you travel the less time you take. In fact as you move closer to thousands of km/hr you take just mere seconds to get to the other side. The faster the speed, the less the duration of the journey. As you approach millions of km/hr you approach zero time for the journey.

Now Albert Einstein's Theory (along with mathematical formula) proved that if you were to travel at the SPEED of light (approx 299 792 458 m / s - almost 300million m/s) you would take 0 sec to travel between point A to point B.
Did you hear that?
Is it possible to take a time of 0 seconds to travel between two places?
More like disappearing from one location and appearing at another location.

Before you all say it's not possible let me quote you something from the bible...

"After that he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;..." - 1 Corinthians 15:6.
Here, the apostle Paul was talking about Jesus, and what happened after his resurrection.

Can you imagine? Jesus was seen by five hundred people all at once!!!
It simply means that he traveled between 500 locations in the same instance.
In simple terms it took him 0 time to travel between 500 locations because they all saw him at once.

Do you know what that means?

It simply means that what Albert Einstein discovered 2000 years later, Jesus was practicing 2000 years ago.
The things men think are far too great to be imagined, are small things with God.
Look at the other things that Jesus did.

He walked on water.
C'mon guys, what happened to the laws of flotation when Jesus walked on water? What happened to the laws of buoyancy? What happened to gravity? All those formulas by Archimedes failed.

While men seek a chemical formula to make humans live forever, it is written that Jesus was raised from the dead.
It is also written of how Enoch was translated that he should not see death, how Elijah was caught up to heaven and did not die. While we look for the 'everlasting portion' God has it already.

If only we could look into that greater realm and function at the higher dimension.
It is called the 7th dimension.

Occupy Till I Come ...

Jesus told a parable of how a certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and he was to return later. (Luke 19:12). Jesus told of how this nobleman called his ten servants and gave them ten pounds (one for each), and said unto them, “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13).
Now if you look at that instruction in the BBE (Bible In Basic English) version Jesus said “Do business with this till I come”. Another version (ASV-American Standard version) says “Trade ye till I come”.

In other words the nobleman was instructing his servants to make good use of the money, by investing it in some business. Of course we read in the same passage of scripture how that the nobleman returned from his journey and called his servants to see what they had gained with the pounds. One servant (very fruitful) gained ten pounds from the one. Another servant gained five pounds, and while yet another didn’t do anything with his pound but hid it until his master came.

What I want to focus our attention to is the phrase ‘Occupy Till I Come …’ Other English bible versions show us that the instruction was for the servants to trade, do business, or invest the pounds and to be fruitful. Remember also one very important fact when you study the parables of Jesus. In most of his parables Jesus likened the parables to the kingdom of God. In other words most of the time he was speaking of himself, of the Father, and of how the kingdom of God operates.

In this particular parable we know, by revelation, that the nobleman was implying the Christ (for Christ is coming and He is the one coming). Christ has given his servants (disciples) an instruction to ‘Occupy Till I Come…’

What does it mean to you as a Christian or disciple of Jesus? One could say, ‘But I didn’t receive a pound from the Lord, so I cannot invest anything’.
But hold on!
What about your job? What about the business that God blessed you with and you own? What about the various free blessings that God has given you?

Surely God has given us all something, whether money, position of authority, resources, and so forth. All these can be used to make investment into the kingdom.
Something we need to also understand is how to invest our money, resources, authority or whatever in the kingdom. God’s number one business is in winning souls into the kingdom. God’s number one business is in saving men and getting them into his kingdom through the preaching of the gospel. Now you may not be the one preaching, or going from house to house, but your money can do it. Your car can do it, your position of authority can do it. You can give offerings, you can partner with a ministry, and you can donate your possessions for use by the kingdom.

As a disciple of Jesus Christ what have you done as an investment into the kingdom of God, and into God’s number one business?

If you read in that parable further (Luke 19:17-26) you will discover the different rewards that each servant got for how they traded with what the master gave them. Be wise!

Jesus is the only way... There is no other

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:12

I would to God that all men understood these words from the bible. The bible clearly states in this verse that there is no other way of salvation, that there is no other name (whether your own name, your uncle's name, your ancestor's name, or any other religious name) by which man can be saved.

We have been given only one name, and that name is Jesus. By that name can we be saved, by that name are we qualified for eternal life, and by that name are we able to be reconciled to the Father.

You may have been looking for salvation. You may have been wondering how you can get close to God, how you can be in fellowship with Him. You may have been wondering how you can be saved from sin, from death, and from the evil in this world.
satan has confused the world and has created confusion by offering the world so many false religions. He has offered the world a false hope of salvation, because he knows that there is a part of man that yearns to be close to his Creator, the part that causes man to know that he 'needs' salvation.

But Jesus is the only way.
The bible says about Jesus that He is, "...The Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Him" - John 14:6.

Look at the three definite articles in the above scripture. He said I am 'The Way'. Not 'a way' but 'the way'. Then He said, I am 'The Truth'. Not 'a truth' but 'the truth', meaning Jesus is 'the truth'. And so the bible calls Him, the 'true light' that lighteth every man (John 1:9). Then He also said, I am 'the Life'. If you never want to die again, you need Jesus.

Now somebody said, "... well, any man can talk like that. Any religious leader can make the same claims like Jesus did!"
Brother! Sister!
The bible says about Jesus, that 'He was ‘declared to be the Son of God with power, by the resurrection from the dead' (Romans 1:4).

Did you see that? Jesus was declared to be the Son of God, with power, by the resurrection from the dead.

If you compare Jesus to other 'religious' leaders, you will realize that Jesus is the only ONE that was RAISED from the dead.

Study the history of all other religious leaders. When they died, they were finished.

And so we preach a resurrected Christ, who is alive even today. Jesus Christ is alive and He can save you.

In fact, to study the synoptic gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John as the history of Jesus or as an 'autobiography' would be a serious error.
Autobiographies, and history books are recorded for those who have died.
But Jesus is alive.
So the books written about Him are not an autobiography or a history of Him.
So when you study those synoptic gospels, rather, you should study them as the 'Revelation of Jesus Christ'. See them as the revelation of the Christ, His nature, His characteristics and how He went about His business.
Those who study the gospels as a historical account are those who have a problem with some dates when it seems like the dates don't add up.
The dates all add up.
What they forget is that the gospels were not necessarily written in chronological order, and the stories were not necessarily written in the manner of 'from point A Jesus went to point B'. Rather, the stories were written as a 'revelation of Jesus Christ'. Each verse has it's part in the revelation of the Christ, and it doesn't mean they have to be in alphabetic order.

If you are not yet acquainted with the Christ, get to know Him. Understand that He is the only way of salvation.

The Mirror Principle

Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? How many of you have ever looked into the mirror and saw somebody else? How many of you ever looked into a mirror and saw your uncle, granny, or a monkey?
No!
The mirror always guarantees that when you look into it, you will always see yourself. It will always show the real you, not anything or anyone else. The mirror always reflects you for exactly who you are, including the tiny wrinkles (if you have any), or the tiny pimples (if you have any).
It is impossible to look into a mirror and see somebody else.
Now, the Word of God is a MIRROR also. The bible does show us that the Word of God is a mirror.
This means, when I look into the Word (when I study, when I read, when I listen to it) I see my reflection. I see exactly what God sees when He looks at me. The Word of God does tell us that we are more than conquerors. It shows us that we have overcome the world. It shows us that we are blessed beyond measure and that God blesses us abundantly above what we can ask or think.
I have never looked at the Word and saw it reflecting me as a ‘failure’, or as a ‘poor‘, ‘helpless’ man. It has always shown me that I am a new creation, that I have overcome the world, that I have eternal life, and I am a Son of God, that I am a joint-heir with Christ Jesus. The bible has always shown me that I can perform miracles, I can heal the sick, I can move mountains, and I can cast out devils. It has never told me that I can’t do anything. The MIRROR of God has always told me that ‘With God all things are possible’.
Maybe somebody is wondering, “Who are you to suddenly come up and compare the Word of God to a mirror?”
Well, the bible does describe itself as a mirror. It says

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” – 2 Corinthians 3:18. (King James Version)

Perhaps the King James does not describe the word ‘glass’ in the scripture above exactly as a ‘mirror’. But let us read the same verse in the Amplified bible version. It says

“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His {very own} image in ever increasing splendor {and} from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit” - (Amplified bible version)

Did you see that? He tells us that maybe if we still are not a perfect mirror image of God’s Word, that as we continue to look into the mirror we are transfigured (changed, metamorphosed, and converted) into the exact reflection of God’s glory. He tells us that as we continue to look into the MIRROR we are constantly being changed from one degree of glory to another.
Brothers and sisters, I urge you to look into the mirror of God [study His Word], and you will see for yourself the real and true image of yourself.
But the apostle James warns us of not being forgetful hearers of the Word. He compares a Christian who hears the Word and doesn’t do what it says to a man who looks into a mirror and forgets what he looks like. The bible says

“For if any be a hearer of the word , and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” – James 1:23,24

Some people are like that. They look at the mirror in the morning, but immediately as they leave the mirror they forget what they look like.
Some Christians are like that too. They study the Word of God, and it shows them of all the glorious things that it can produce for them. But then as soon as they close their bibles, they quickly forget what it told them. In other words they forget what the MIRROR told them about what they look like.
Brothers and sisters, let us continue looking into the MIRROR, let us continue to get the Word of God into our spirits.
God bless you.

The True Meaning Salvation

We really need to get the true picture of what salvation is, and what exactly Jesus did for us.
To understand the misconception that many folks have, let’s look at an example illustration that many have used to explain salvation to people.
May liken the salvation that Jesus gave us to a man who was drowning in a sea, and then Jesus pulled him out. In this illustration Jesus is the ‘helper’ or ‘hero’ who rescued the man out of the sea and prevented him from drowning. To see Jesus as a rescuer in this manner alone is erroneous and does not give you the ‘real’ picture. Let us use the same illustration of the drowning man to establish the ‘true’ picture of the salvation that Jesus gave us.
In the case of the drowning man, we have to understand the circumstances surrounding his situation. This man was condemned to die in the sea. Let us suppose he had done something wrong and was condemned to die by drowning. So here is a man who had done something terribly wrong and was sentenced to die by drowning in the sea.
But just before he is thrown into the sea, Jesus comes and says, “Wait!! Free this man!! I will take his place and die for him. Free him, and throw me into the sea! You can let him go and I will be punished in his stead”
See that? That’s the ‘true’ picture of salvation. Jesus didn’t just ‘help’ us or ‘rescue’ us. Jesus actually took our place, and was put in our place. We ought to have died. We were all condemned to die. We were destined to suffer and to die for our sins. BUT, Jesus came and took our place. He died in our place, and was tormented in our place, and He paid the price for our sins. When you UNDERSTAND the price that was paid for you, you will understand the value of your salvation.
No! Think about it! You were supposed to die. You were condemned to die. But Jesus offered His life for yours. He identified Himself with sinners so that the sinners could be declared righteous. The bible says,

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” – 2 Corinthians 5:21.

So Jesus became us. He was made sin. He became us, with the very nature of sin that was in us. When he took our place, he sacrificed His freedom in exchange for our bondage.

Ee-yaah! Can somebody see this?
When Jesus was made ‘sin’ and took on the nature of sin in my place, God credited righteousness to my account. In other words, when Jesus was made sin, I was made righteous. When Jesus died in my place, I was given His life. There was an exchange!!!

But there are those who condemn themselves, and feel unworthy of salvation, those who think that salvation is for Christians and for the good boys and good girls. Listen! Jesus died for everybody. Jesus didn’t die for the righteous, he died for the sinners. He exchanged his righteousness and goodness for your sins, and said to God, “Father! Let them go. Let that man go. Let that woman go. I’ll die in his place. I’ll die in her place. ”

In addition, salvation is not our idea. None of us in our so-called wisdom could think of a plan to save ourselves or mankind from sin and death. We were not intelligent enough to think of a salvation plan. Salvation is God’s idea not ours. So I don’t understand those folks who try to exclude themselves from salvation. It was God who loved us and not us who loved God. It was He who loved us enough to send his Son to die for us.

The Wonderful Name Of Jesus

Suppose, while you are driving to work one day, you are stopped by a traffic policeman for over speeding or some other traffic offense. When the policeman comes to you, and no matter how much you may want to take advantage of him or resist, if he says to you, “… by the authority of the Chief Commissioner of Police I command you to stop” you will stop. Or if a man comes to you while you are walking in town and says, “The PRESIDENT of Zimbabwe has sent me to tell you to … blah blah.” you will surely do it.

Why? Because the traffic cop, or the man in the street, as long as he is using a ‘name’ vested with authority by the higher powers, you are bound to listen to him. No matter how you may want to resist, you have to respect him for the authority that he represents. Note something important here. The traffic policeman, in his own name, or the street man, in his own name cannot force you to do anything. As long as he comes to you in his own name, or in his personal capacity he can never force you to do anything. But when he represents a higher authority, say a president, or a high government authority you are bound to listen to his instruction.

It reminds me of the biblical story of the lame man, who was laid at the temple gate called beautiful to beg for money from men (Acts 3:2). The bible records that one day he tried begging for money from Peter and John (the apostles of Jesus Christ) while they were going to the temple. And Peter replied to him and said,

“Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” – Acts 3:6

See that? Peter used the NAME of JESUS to heal the man of his lameness. Note something very interesting here. In the man’s own name he could not walk, in his father’s name or uncle’s name he could not walk. In fact, in Peter’s name he could not walk. If Peter had said, “I command you to walk” in his own stead, it probably wouldn’t have worked. But Peter used the NAME of JESUS, which is a powerful NAME to heal the man.
The bible says about the name of Jesus

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth…” – Phillipians 2:9,10.

See that? Peter knew that the name of Jesus had authority that’s why he used it to heal the man. The name of Jesus has power, because when you use it, you are representing an authority that has been exalted by God himself. That name can heal the sick, open blind eyes, cats out devils because it has power. Are you a Christian? Is anything wrong in your life? Does it look like things are going hay-wire for you? Are you facing terrible circumstances? Brother! Sister! You should use the NAME of JESUS. It has the power to change about any situation. When you understand the authority vested in the name of Jesus, and you have a revelation of the power that it represents, you’ll never be a victim in life because you know you can use a higher power to turn around any situation.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” – John 1:1

I would to God that somebody would get a revelation of the above scripture. The above scripture tells us some very important things about the Word of God. He says, “The Word was in the beginning” and “the Word was NOT only with God, BUT the Word WAS GOD”. The next verse still describes this Word of God.

“All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” – John 1:3
See that? All things were made by him. ‘All things’ means everything that was created, whether man or beast, or trees, or flowers, all things were made by the Word of God. In other words, the Word has a creative ability to create anything, and to make anything, including changing things around in your life.
But the MOST IMPORTANT attribute of the Word is shown by the following scripture. It reads thus

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men” – John 1:4.

See that? In the Word was LIFE. In the Word was the God kind of life, sometimes referred to as eternal life or everlasting life. And this life, he says, was the light of men. That’s why Jesus said “…he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life” (John8:12). Look at what the bible further says about this Word.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14

See that? The Word was made flesh. In other words the Word became flesh and lived as a human being on earth. As you study the bible further you’d discover that this flesh was JESUS . Wow! You see that? The Word which was God, and the Word which created the world, and the Word which he says “in him was life” is JESUS.
Boy oh boy!! In Jesus is life. In Jesus there is the God-kind-of-life. Jesus has eternal life, everlasting life, and the God-kind-of-life.
He already told us that “..and the life was the light of men”. Now do you think when you are in darkness in your life, God is happy? When you are in darkness concerning your health, in darkness concerning your job, in darkness concerning your finances, in darkness concerning your family, or your business? When you walk in confusion, in uncertainty, and you are in the dark about everything in your life do you think that’s the life that God wants for you?

Some people’s lives are full of FEAR, the fear of failure, the fear of death, and the fear of the future.

Brother! Sister! If you are walking in darkness today, if your life looks like it has some darkness to it, then you need JESUS. Jesus said

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. But I am come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly” – John 10:10

Then he also said, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall the light of life” – John 8:12
