It is a MUST to be "Born Again".

It wasn't the church that invented the term "born again".  Jesus Himself said so

Jesus answered and said unto him, "...Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)

It wasn't the church that started insisting that it is a must to be born again. Jesus Himself said so.

"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3:7)

Unfortunately you can't be neutral also. It's either you are with Him, and for Him, or not. No neutral territory. Again Jesus Himself said so.

"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."  (Matthew 12:30)

And just in case you thought you could find your own way, or means to be saved, Jesus said He is the ONLY way. No other.

Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

If you ever hope, dream, wish, or want to be a part of God's kingdom JESUS CHRIST is who you need to acquint yourself with. Learn of Him. Know Him.

The amazing Jesus

He is simply extraordinary.

He turned plain water into wine when a wedding ceremony ran out of drink. (John 2:9)
He spit on clay one time and rubbed it on a man born blind and the man started seeing. (John 9:6)
He talked to a tree and told it not to bear fruit anymore and from that day it never bore any fruit again.  (Mark 11:14)

Insane men, mad men, crazy crazy dudes, who ran around a cemetery naked , became normal when they met Jesus. (Matthew 8:28-34)
One other guy, who died and was buried and was in the grave for 4 days was raised back to life. Jesus called him and said "Lazarus!!!" And the dead man, in his mummified body, came strolling out the grave. (John 11:43)

Wait for it, here is one interesting one.
One time, while preaching to a large crowd, with 5000 men (excluding children and men), and they were hungry and there was nowhere to buy food, He took 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread and fed them all. In fact, it is recorded that after they had all eaten, 12 baskets of left overs were gathered. (Matthew 14:19-22)

Another time this Jesus walked on water. (Matthew 14:25)
Yes, you heard right, He walked on the surface of the sea and didn't drown, not even an inch deep.

Another time, when they were in a boat and there was a storm and the winds were blowing furiously, and the boat was about to capsize,  He commanded the wind and said "Peace. Be still" and there was a calm.
The guys who were with Him were afraid and asked each other "What manner of man is this? That even the wind and the seas obey him" (Matthew 8: 25-27)

I tell you, this Jesus of Nazareth blew their mind with awe everytime He walked with them.

In fact, one of his closest friends wrote and said
"There are many other things that Jesus did, the which if they could be written, I suppose that not even all the books in this world could contain all that he did"  (John 21:25)

He was that amazing. Always performing a miracle and His life was an unending stream of the miracles!!!

The good news is, once you acquint yourself with Him and become close friends (family even) with Him, the miraculous  also starts happening in your life.

Science versus Faith

There are those who think science and faith are mutually exclusive and that you have to strictly belong to one of the two and not both. Either you are a man of science or a man of faith. You can't be in both camps.

Well, the good book taught me otherwise.

Moses had a PhD in Egyptian knowledge (science, politics, economics, etc) in his time.

"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds." - Acts 7:22

God also made certain men great engineers and craftsmen in old days.

"And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; " - Exo 31:3 — 6

Even in the great Babylon Daniel and his friends were great scholars. They probably had the equivalent of PhDs in Babylonian knowledge.

"As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom:.." - Daniel 1:17

In addition the wisest man who ever lived on earth, Solomon, knew so much that many came from all over the world to hear his wisdom. He told them about trees, about nature, and explained how things worked and functioned and they were all amazed.

"And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes." -  1Ki 4:30 — 1Ki 4:33

So, for those who asked me how come I am schooled in science and in an engineering field, and yet talk so much about Jesus and faith stuff there you go.

And here's a last thought. Could it be possible that the one who created all things couldn't grant His kids the ability to know and master all created things?

The story of Jesus continues...

Jesus, the forgiver ...

This Jesus..eish...This Jesus I say is wonderful and full of love.

One time some folks came to Him with a woman who had been caught in adultery (as in caught between the sheets, literally, doing unspeakable things to a man who was not her husband) and they expected Him to point a finger at her and judge her.
Instead, he said, "I do not condemn you woman. Go free and do not sin again". (John 8:4-11).

What?? He forgave her and let her go without even punishing her!!!

Another time a certain crook named  Zaccheus, a very short man who was well known to be a sinner and conned many of their money climbed up a tree (because he was too short and was blocked by the large crowd) to see Jesus as he passed by the streets. Jesus said to him, "Zaccheus, today I will eat dinner at your house..." (Luke 19:2 - 10)

Another time, He appeared to Paul , a murderer who was killing his followers, and was actually on his way to a certain city to hunt for more followers of Jesus to capture them and sent them to be hanged. What did Jesus do? He didn't even judge Paul and punish him for his murders and bad works. He instead instantly forgave him and showed him who he really was and sent him to preach about him.

This Jesus, I say, this Jesus just blows my mind away.

How can he just act like you didn't do anything wrong and look past your bad deeds and your dark acts?

Nomatter what you've done, nomatter where you've been, nomatter how bad or terrible, nomatter how condemned you feel, it doesn't matter. He will forgive you and not hold it against you.
He will forgive you and love you.

He loves you even at your worst and when you feel unworthy of love.
He is that good and merciful.

All you need to do is acquint yourself with Him.

Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God

Brothers and sisters, friends and relatives of mine, from the least unto the greatest I appeal unto you this day, (yet again).

This JESUS that we preach to you (even here on Facebook) is not a figment of our imagination.
Neither do we exaggerate His majesty, authority, and power.
We are eye witnesses of His majesty and glory.

I, myself, have seen things beyond reasoning. I have my own self seen supernatural things.
I have heard words that would be hard to understand by many.
I have experienced, on my own self, and in my own life, supernatural manifestations of the power and glory of God, worked through the name of Jesus.

As the book also declares in  2 Peter 1:16 —17 "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

So even we, today, have not believed fairytales or cunningly devised stories. We believe in what we have seen with our own eyes. That glory, I have been priviledged to witness. The story of Jesus is no Mickey mouse tale, or a fabled hero bedtime story.

Jesus is real, His authority and power real, and His majesty undeniable.

What more, This JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN very very soon and the bible says "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." - Revelations 1:7

I will tell you more about this Jesus in subsequent posts, but for today, remember that Jesus is the Son of God. His majesty and power and glory are solid and He is coming back again.

God is real.

The birds don't go to school of engineering or architecture, yet they are masters at building their own nests.
Nobody taught them where to look for grass, sticks, and how to structure their nests yet they build it and afterwards their young can live in them.

Nobody teaches a lion to hunt its prey, or a bee how to look for nectar in flowers to use for making honey.
There are no animal institutions or universities where animals learn how to do all this.

My point??

The good book, the book of books, the book of truth bears testimony to these phenomenons in nature and declares that God has not left Himself without a witness.
He is invisible, but the visible things we see in nature clearly show his handiwork and works. Nature itself, how birds build those nests, how ants lay up food stores for themselves in winter, etc reveal the work of God. In fact, when you think about it, you can only marvel at how these animals work. From that marvel, an inner part of you testifies that God is real. You realize at that moment that God, the invisible, is very very real.

The good book thus declares, in its testimony, "...since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities---his eternal power and divine nature---have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."

God is real my friends, brothers and sisters.
Nature itself declares His existence and power and Godhead, witnessing about Him through the marvel that is in nature.

And not only is God real, God has a Son named Jesus, who is the most important person you and I need to know and acquint with in our lives today.
The same book declares that this man Jesus was boldly proven and declared (by many infallible truths and beyond reasonable doubts) to be the Son of God. How? He is the only one who was raised from the dead to live eternally and is alive even today.

This Jesus, I say, this man of Galilee, that Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph, the root and the offspring of Jesse, this man..we MUST ALL KNOW.

Jesus, my friends, brothers and sisters, is the most important person in your life. Know Him today.
