Science versus Faith

There are those who think science and faith are mutually exclusive and that you have to strictly belong to one of the two and not both. Either you are a man of science or a man of faith. You can't be in both camps.

Well, the good book taught me otherwise.

Moses had a PhD in Egyptian knowledge (science, politics, economics, etc) in his time.

"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds." - Acts 7:22

God also made certain men great engineers and craftsmen in old days.

"And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; " - Exo 31:3 — 6

Even in the great Babylon Daniel and his friends were great scholars. They probably had the equivalent of PhDs in Babylonian knowledge.

"As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom:.." - Daniel 1:17

In addition the wisest man who ever lived on earth, Solomon, knew so much that many came from all over the world to hear his wisdom. He told them about trees, about nature, and explained how things worked and functioned and they were all amazed.

"And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes." -  1Ki 4:30 — 1Ki 4:33

So, for those who asked me how come I am schooled in science and in an engineering field, and yet talk so much about Jesus and faith stuff there you go.

And here's a last thought. Could it be possible that the one who created all things couldn't grant His kids the ability to know and master all created things?

The story of Jesus continues...
